Mathangi Theyagarjan , Finance Chair
I am Mathangi. I was born in India but did my schooling in various places-Saudi, Dubai and back again in India. I graduated in 2019 with a degree in dentistry after which I worked for a few months at a dental clinic. The inefficiencies in health care delivery that I noticed while working made me choose MHA and hope to work on projects involving quality improvement in the future. In my free time I like dancing and hiking to new places. I am excited to join as the Finance Chair and look forward to all the fun events coming up this year.
Cristina Tom, Events Chair
Cristina Tom is a first-year progressive MHA student from Atherton, California. She graduated from USC in Spring 2021 with a B.S. in Human Biology and a minor in Dance. Cristina is currently a health administration intern at Orthopaedic Institute for Children. During undergrad, Cristina served as the President of the Pre-Physical Therapy Club and head administrative recruitment chair of her sorority, she is now thrilled to join SHC's board as the Events Chair.
A fun fact about Cristina is she is currently studying for a certification in strength and conditioning as well as a group fitness license. She hopes to become a Barry’s or Orange Theory instructor within the next three years!

Lauren Bauer, Marketing & Communications Chair
Orange County native Lauren Bauer recently graduated from Vanderbilt University with a Bachelor's Degree in Medicine, Health, and Society. She plans on using her Master of Health Administration degree to expand her current skill set and find the perfect hospital administration role, while being led by extremely qualified faculty.
Lauren plans to push herself personally and academically through an interactive and inclusionary learning experience in the classroom, in volunteer opportunities that engage with the community, through diverse student organizations, including SHC, and through the residency experience. She expects to gain a comprehensive understanding of the fundamental characteristics of health management leadership, health policy, and health care delivery systems critical for my career advancement.

Clark Edwards Alumni Relations Chair
My name is Clark Edwards. I was born and raised in Orem, Utah, and graduated from BYU with a BS in Economics. I love the outdoors, and you'll find me hiking, camping, boating, and climbing whenever I get the chance. I also love sports, especially basketball, and am excited to cheer on the Trojans this year. I look forward to getting to know everyone in the MHA program and to help build a strong network together.
Ajit Ghallon, Alumni Relations Chair
Ajit was born and raised in San Jose, California where his passion for healthcare began while pursuing his undergraduate degree in Public Health Administration at San Jose State University. Shortly after graduating in 2018, Ajit dove into the world of private health insurance while working at a brokerage firm in San Francisco. After working for a few years, Ajit decided to apply to USC's MHA program so he could take a step back from private health insurance and step into the field of Quality Care and Control. Ajit is excited to be serving as the Professional Development Chair and looks forward to helping MHA students further develop their professional skills while creating network opportunities to expand their professional relationships.
